Weather Alert: Deep Depression Near Andaman

The low-pressure area over the Malacca Strait and the South Andaman Sea has now intensified into a deep depression and continues to remain in the same region. According to meteorological forecasts, this system is likely to strengthen into a cyclonic storm by Monday and could further intensify into a severe cyclone over the Southeast Bay of Bengal by November 27.

While some weather experts predict that the system may weaken over the sea itself, several other forecast models indicate that it might change direction and move towards Bangladesh. Authorities have advised close monitoring of weather developments over the next few days.

Meanwhile, another low-pressure system is likely to form near Sri Lanka, over the Comorin region and the Southwest Bay of Bengal, on Monday. With back-to-back low-pressure formations and intensifications, meteorologists expect further significant changes in weather patterns in the coming days.
