

Telangana Sports and Youth Services Minister Vakiti Srihari attended the Legacy Fighting Championship LFC-2 Fight Night held at the Katepally Sports Complex in Hyderabad. During the fighters’ meet-and-greet, the minister, along with MLA Prakash Goud and SAT Chairman Shiv Sena Reddy, congratulated the participating athletes. In the opening bout, Hyderabad’s Basa Sashreek faced Indore’s Arun Varma. Following the bout, Minister Srihari congratulated and felicitated the winner. He said the government would take steps to promote sports among youth and provide greater encouragement to martial arts and fighting sports.
The minister said the government’s priority is to identify talented athletes across Telangana and provide them with the required training, infrastructure and opportunities. He added that the sports sector is being strengthened through the Telangana Sports Policy to help athletes from the state excel at international levels. The LFC-2 Fight Night was held in an energetic atmosphere, with a large number of sports enthusiasts attending and cheering for the fighters. Minister Srihari said that success in sports is not the only goal, stressing that discipline, perseverance and a fighting spirit are equally important and encouraging young people to take up sports.
