Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that his government has upheld public trust and fulfilled its promises despite several challenges. Speaking at a press conference in Undavalli, he said improving people's living standards remained the government's top priority. He highlighted the importance of local body elections, stating that strengthening local institutions was essential for genuine decentralisation of power. Naidu alleged that the previous government had damaged Andhra Pradesh's reputation and said the state was now recovering. He also criticised YSRCP leaders, accusing them of damaging roads and attempting to obstruct the Mega DSC recruitment process through court proceedings.
Naidu said his government was implementing welfare schemes worth ₹1.5 lakh crore and delivering benefits to eligible beneficiaries according to a fixed welfare calendar. He added that long-pending projects were being completed and public feedback was being collected regularly to improve government services. The Chief Minister said Rayalaseema would be developed into a model region and highlighted the completion of the first phase of the Veligonda project. He also promised to transform Markapuram into a region capable of supporting diverse crops. Further, he alleged that funds meant for local bodies had been diverted and 93 central schemes had been discontinued under the previous government. He said the state had worked with the Centre to revive the Jal Jeevan Mission.
