Viral Kumbh Mela Fame Monalisa Seeks Police Protection

Monalisa, who became an internet sensation during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, has once again made headlines after approaching the Ernakulam Central Police Station in Kerala, seeking protection. Accompanied by her lawyer, she submitted a complaint alleging that her father had taken away her passport and money and claimed that her life was under threat. She requested the police to provide security and ensure her safety.

The complaint comes amid an ongoing legal dispute surrounding her marriage to Furman Khan. Based on a complaint filed by Monalisa's father, Madhya Pradesh Police had earlier registered a kidnapping case, claiming that she was a minor. However, Monalisa has maintained that she is an adult and married Furman Khan of her own free will. She had previously obtained police protection through the Kerala High Court, but it was later withdrawn after police were unable to contact the couple. Police officials have now stated that further action will be decided after consulting the Kochi City Police Commissioner.
