Vinai Kumar Saxena Gets Additional Charge of J&K LG

Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has been given the additional charge of Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. The decision was taken by President Droupadi Murmu as the incumbent J&K Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, is currently on leave. Saxena will discharge the duties of J&K Lieutenant Governor until Sinha resumes office.

At the same time, Saxena will continue to serve as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. With this arrangement, he will simultaneously hold the charge of the Lieutenant Governor of both Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The Centre has made the temporary arrangement to ensure continuity in the administration of Jammu and Kashmir during Sinha’s absence.
