A major development has emerged in the drug case reported in Vijayawada, with GRPS and EAGLE officials arresting Bashir, a key suspect allegedly involved in supplying drugs. According to the police, Bashir recently arranged for MDMA to be brought from Bengaluru through a woman identified as Naga Soumya. Officials have described the seizure as the first instance of MDMA being caught in such a large quantity in Andhra Pradesh.
Investigators allege that Bashir targeted college students in Vijayawada to distribute the drug. Police had reportedly been monitoring his movements for some time before making the arrest. The investigation is expected to focus on the alleged supply network, the source of the drugs and the possible involvement of others. Further details may emerge as officials continue their probe.
