The VB-G RAM G scheme has come into effect across the country from today, replacing the MGNREGA program. The new initiative aims to provide 125 days of guaranteed rural employment to rural households while also focusing on income generation and infrastructure development.
The scheme will be officially launched in Tirupati tomorrow. The coalition government in Andhra Pradesh has decided to implement it, while the Telangana Cabinet is expected to take a final decision soon. The funding pattern has been set at a 60:40 ratio between the Centre and States, ensuring shared financial responsibility.
