Valmiki Scam Sparks Fresh Political Storm in Karnataka

The Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation fund diversion case has once again become a major political issue in Karnataka. The case surfaced in 2024 after funds meant for the development of Scheduled Tribes were allegedly diverted through various channels to companies in Hyderabad. The controversy had earlier put political pressure on B. Nagendra, who was serving as the minister in charge of the department, leading to his resignation. A Central Bureau of Investigation probe was also initiated into the matter.
