The bulldozer drive launched by the Uttarakhand government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami continues to draw national attention. According to official reports, more than 553 unauthorized structures have been demolished, while over 9,000 acres of government land have been reclaimed from illegal encroachments across various districts. The state government has made it clear that unlawful occupation of public land will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Officials stated that the drive is aimed at restoring government land meant for public welfare, infrastructure development, and environmental protection. The operations are being carried out by district authorities and enforcement teams in multiple regions, with further inspections expected in the coming days. Supporters of the campaign describe it as a strong governance measure promoting accountability, law enforcement, and transparency in land management, while the issue continues to spark political and public debate across the country.
