The United States and Iran have reportedly agreed to suspend further military attacks in an effort to ease rising tensions in West Asia. According to reports, both countries are expected to hold high-level talks in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday to preserve the recently reached ceasefire understanding. The discussions are aimed at preventing further escalation and restoring diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
Reports indicate that both sides have agreed to avoid military action while negotiations over the Strait of Hormuz continue. Senior US officials said efforts are underway to ensure safe maritime navigation through the strategic waterway. Although initial discussions on Iran’s nuclear programme were planned in Switzerland, the venue was shifted to Doha following recent hostilities. The United States has not yet issued an official statement regarding the proposed talks.
