U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and U.S. Consul General Laura Williams hosted a high-level business roundtable at the historic Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. The dinner, held to commemorate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, brought together senior Indian industry leaders from defense manufacturing, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and technology. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral trade, attracting investments, securing high-tech supply chains and expanding commercial cooperation across South India.

Ambassador Sergio Gor said the U.S.-India partnership has moved beyond strategic alignment and is now developing into concrete cooperation across defense, technology, life sciences and space. The meeting highlighted the two countries’ shared commitment to expanding market access, increasing defense industrial co-production and strengthening economic ties. Gor encouraged business leaders from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha to leverage initiatives such as the TRUST Initiative, Pax Silica, the U.S.-India COMPACT and the Strategic Mineral Recovery Initiative to explore investment opportunities, supply-chain partnerships and greater market access.
