Upasana Takes Charge of Apollo Projects

Upasana Kamineni Konidela, wife of actor Ram Charan and Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals Group, is set to take charge as Director – Projects at Apollo Hospitals. In her new role, she will work with Apollo’s leadership, clinical teams and project partners to oversee the planning and development of hospital projects across India, including new facilities and upgrades to existing hospitals.

Her new responsibility comes as Apollo Hospitals plans an expansion programme with an estimated project cost of around ₹8,600 crore. Upasana said she would carry forward the vision of her grandfather and Apollo Hospitals founder, Dr Prathap C. Reddy, who established the group with the aim of making world-class healthcare accessible in India.
