A key political development has taken place in Tamil Nadu as rebel MLAs from the AIADMK, led by the Velumani group, met party leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami. During the meeting, the rebel faction declared that there is no split within the party and extended their full support to Palaniswami, signaling a reconciliation within the party ranks.
Following the meeting, the rebel MLAs also met the Speaker and reiterated that they remain united within the party and loyal to Palaniswami. Earlier, internal tensions had emerged after a section of MLAs opposed his leadership and even supported rival political moves. With the latest reconciliation, pending disqualification proceedings against the rebel MLAs are expected to be withdrawn, marking a major easing of tensions within the party.
