DMK leader and Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin launched a sharp attack on TVK, stating that the party has failed to gain public support. He claimed that 65 percent of voters rejected Vijay and that 31 million people voted against TVK. He also urged people not to forget that parties within the DMK alliance are indirectly supporting TVK.
He further alleged that Vijay contested from two constituencies due to a lack of confidence and stated that TVK does not have the strength to form a government on its own. Accusing the party of engaging in horse trading, he termed it strange that the Chief Minister met AIADMK rebel MLAs. He sarcastically remarked that sofas arrive before the Chief Minister, followed by bouquets, calling it a political spectacle.
