

A tragic road accident claimed the lives of two daily wage workers in Andhra Pradesh after the auto-rickshaw carrying them overturned while they were returning home from work at a fish pond. According to police, 12 labourers from Vanapallipalem, N. Kothapalli and Savarapalem had completed their day's work and were travelling back when the vehicle lost control near S. Yanam and overturned into a muddy agricultural field.
The labourers were trapped in the mud after the accident. While some managed to rescue themselves and lift the vehicle, Sangani Raju (30) of N. Kothapalli and Kodavarthi Lokesh (18) of Barrayipalem, Vanapallipalem, died at the scene. Raju is survived by his wife and an infant daughter. The auto driver reportedly fled the spot, and police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
