Two permanent employees of the Srisailam Devasthanam in Nandyal district have been suspended. One employee from the Revenue Department was suspended over alleged negligence in the collection of shop lease arrears. Another employee was suspended following allegations of failing to scrutinise documents related to an e-tender process, including allegedly incorrect documents submitted in the matter. Temple Executive Officer Srinivasa Rao issued orders suspending both employees.
The EO has also issued charge memos to officers and staff who have worked in the temple’s Revenue Department from 2024 until now. The memos seek explanations regarding the collection of shop lease arrears and alleged lapses in the discharge of official duties. The action is aimed at strengthening accountability and ensuring greater diligence in the administration of the temple, according to the details provided by the temple authorities.
