The custody of CI Nagaraju in the Sai Krishna lock-up death case has once again come under legal scrutiny. According to reports, the Special Investigation Team is considering approaching the Supreme Court of India to challenge the directions issued by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. Earlier, the High Court modified the order of the 2nd AJMFC Court and permitted the custody of CI Nagaraju.
However, the SIT has reportedly objected to the conditions imposed by the High Court, including mandatory audio and video recording of the interrogation and conducting the questioning only within Rajahmundry Central Jail. The agency is expected to challenge these conditions before the Supreme Court. A final outcome will depend on the apex court's decision.
