Twin earthquakes have caused widespread devastation across Venezuela, with the La Guaira region emerging as one of the worst-hit areas. Survivors are facing severe shortages of food, drinking water, and essential supplies as rescue and relief operations continue amid growing humanitarian concerns.
The disaster, which struck on June 24, led to the collapse of a seven-storey building in Catia La Mar. According to Jorge Rodríguez, at least 2,295 people have lost their lives, while more than 11,000 others were injured. Emergency teams are continuing search-and-rescue efforts and providing relief to affected communities.
