Tungabhadra Reservoir Decked Up for Independence Day Celebrations

Water storage in the Tungabhadra Reservoir has reached 87.45 TMC, with the water level rising to 1,628.20 feet. Over the past 24 hours, the reservoir received an average inflow of 26,834 cusecs. The current inflow stands at 23,290 cusecs, while 2,226 cusecs are being released into various canals.

The newly installed crest gates at the Tungabhadra Reservoir have been illuminated in three colours ahead of Independence Day. Board officials decorated the gates with colourful lighting to attract tourists. With a large number of visitors expected on August 15, officials said arrangements have been made to ensure their safety and convenience.
