Devotees attending the annual Srivari Brahmotsavams at Tirumala faced difficulties this year due to rain in the galleries. Many devotees remained in their places despite the downpour, as they did not want to miss the opportunity to witness Malayappa Swamy during the procession. On the day of the Garuda Vahana Seva, TTD Executive Officer Ravichandra and Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary visited the galleries and enquired about the facilities being provided to devotees. During their visit, they noticed the problems caused by the rain and recognised the need for better protection.
Following this, the officials instructed the engineering department to explore measures to prevent devotees from facing similar difficulties during future celebrations. TTD is considering options such as installing large umbrellas and different types of shelters or sheds in the galleries to protect devotees from rain. The authorities are expected to study the available options in detail before taking a final decision. The proposed measures aim to improve the comfort and convenience of devotees attending the annual festivities.
