The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced a new accommodation allotment system to make room allocation more transparent and convenient for pilgrims visiting Tirumala. Under the revised procedure, devotees must first register at the Central Reception Office (CRO), where registration will begin daily from 5 a.m. Using Aadhaar authentication, a registered mobile number and face recognition technology, pilgrims can choose rooms in ₹50, ₹100 and ₹1,000 categories. Room allotment details will be communicated through display boards and SMS alerts, while pilgrims who do not receive an SMS can verify their allotment by scanning their registration slip at kiosks.
TTD clarified that room keys will be issued only after online payment at sub-enquiry offices. Accommodation will be allotted only to individuals aged 21 years and above, while single persons and unmarried individuals will not be eligible for room allotment. Pilgrims who have already availed a room will not be eligible to receive another room for the next 30 days. Rooms will be allotted strictly for 24 hours, with additional charges applicable for overstays. TTD also reiterated that transferring or selling allotted rooms is strictly prohibited and urged devotees to avoid plastic bottles and help maintain cleanliness across Tirumala.
