The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has introduced strict measures to regulate electricity consumption across its administrative offices, educational institutions, hospitals, and other establishments. TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravi Chandra issued the directives to ensure efficient use of electricity, resource conservation, and financial sustainability in line with government guidelines.
Officials have been instructed to switch off lights, fans, air conditioners, computers, and other electrical appliances when not in use. Air conditioners will be operated only from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, while their usage on holidays requires special permission. The EO also directed regular inspections, monthly power consumption reviews, and awareness campaigns, warning that negligence or violations would invite strict action.
