Donald Trump strongly criticized Iran after confirming alleged attacks on American warships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Posting on his social media platform Truth Social on Friday morning, Trump stated that Iran targeted three world-class American destroyers with missiles and drones while they were navigating through the strategic waterway. According to Trump, all three US warships successfully crossed the Strait without sustaining any damage, while American counterattacks reportedly destroyed Iranian vessels involved in the assault.
Trump claimed that the missiles launched toward the US destroyers were intercepted and that drones sent by Iran were “burned in the air.” He further alleged that several Iranian boats, including fast attack crafts, were destroyed during the retaliation. In his statement, Trump described Iran as “not a normal country” and accused its leadership of dangerous intentions regarding nuclear weapons. He warned that if Iran failed to sign an agreement soon, the United States would respond with even stronger and more severe action in the future. The remarks have intensified global attention on rising tensions in the Gulf region.
