US President Donald Trump has once again expressed his ambition to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Saying he was not boasting but merely stating facts, Trump claimed that he had helped bring an end to eight wars and accomplished things that no other president had been able to achieve. He said he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts, although he admitted that he had little confidence that the award would actually be given to him.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize is scheduled to be announced on October 9. Trump had also expressed strong expectations of receiving the award last year, but the prize went to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado. With reports suggesting that Trump could be among this year's nominees, attention is now focused on who will receive the prestigious peace award.
