Training for Government Employees with IITs and IIMs: AP CM Chandrababu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has stressed that skill development training for government employees should be a continuous process. During a review meeting with senior officials on public services, he discussed employee skill development, Anna canteens, drinking water supply in urban areas and facilities in welfare hostels. The Chief Minister said employees were being trained through various courses under the iGOT-Karmayogi platform and should continuously upgrade their skills to meet changing technological requirements. He directed officials to take steps to provide specialised training to employees in collaboration with IITs and IIMs.

Naidu also directed officials to ensure that drinking water problems do not arise in either urban or rural areas. Officials informed him that recent rainfall had reduced drinking water concerns in most urban areas. They said minor shortages persisted in two municipalities in Rayalaseema and that measures were being taken to address them. Officials also told the Chief Minister that groundwater levels had improved in Visakhapatnam, helping ease drinking water concerns. Naidu directed officials to ensure greater public participation in various government programmes.
