Tragedy Strikes While Heading Home for Delivery

A five-month pregnant woman died in a tragic road accident near Panchalingala Checkpost on the outskirts of Kurnool city. The incident occurred on Saturday when an RTC bus travelling from Anantapur to Hyderabad ran over a woman after a two-wheeler lost control. Ramudu was taking his daughter Priyanka on the bike when they suddenly fell on the road. Priyanka died on the spot, while Ramudu suffered serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital by locals.

Priyanka, a native of Gadivemula in Kurnool district, was married to Bajari from Madduru village in Jogulamba Gadwal district of Telangana. She was five months pregnant and was being taken to her parental home for delivery arrangements when the accident occurred. Taluk police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.
