TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud Says Party Discipline Will Not Be Compromised

TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud said that Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy’s public remarks were not appropriate and that the party would take them seriously. He said the high command is also paying attention to the issue. At the same time, Goud stated that Rajagopal is a good friend and that the party understands his concerns. He made it clear that the Congress will not tolerate anyone speaking beyond the party line and stressed that party discipline and unity remain the top priority.

Goud also said that the state’s debt burden was a result of the previous BRS government under K. Chandrashekar Rao and that several bills had remained pending since 2018. He claimed that Chief Minister’s Relief Fund assistance was released only after the Congress came to power. He said political situations in Tamil Nadu and Telangana are different and highlighted the fine rice programme in Telangana. Goud urged people not to believe false reports and said the party and government would move forward with better coordination. He added that the party would have a role in major government decisions and alleged that the BRS was spreading propaganda against Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. He said posts would be given only to capable leaders and that upcoming chairperson positions would follow a 60:40 formula, with 60 percent going to experienced leaders and 40 percent to new faces.
