A major traffic congestion was reported near the Srisailam Reservoir after a tourist bus became stuck on a sharp curve close to the reservoir. According to reports, the driver attempted to move the bus to the side of the road, but the vehicle slipped into the mud and got stranded in the middle of the roadway. As a result, traffic movement came to a complete halt, causing severe inconvenience to commuters and pilgrims travelling towards Srisailam.
The traffic jam stretched for nearly five kilometres, from the Domalapenta Forest Check Post to Sundipenta. Since the road is narrow, vehicles were unable to pass until the bus was removed. Local residents and motorists joined efforts to move the stranded vehicle and restore traffic flow. The incident occurred while the tourist bus was travelling towards Srisailam from Hyderabad. Commuters alleged that despite the disruption occurring in the Telangana region, officials were slow to respond to the situation.
