Tirumala Sees Heavy Rush.. TTD Cancels VIP Break Darshan on Key Dates

Tirumala witnessed significant pilgrim movement on September 27, with 83,578 devotees having darshan of Lord Venkateswara, according to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The rush also led to long waiting times for devotees without tokens. TTD has been making additional arrangements at queue complexes and other waiting areas to manage the increased flow of pilgrims.

Against this backdrop, TTD has announced the cancellation of VIP break darshan on October 1 and 5, except for protocol dignitaries. The decision has been taken to facilitate quicker darshan for a larger number of ordinary devotees amid the continuing rush and upcoming holidays. TTD has also announced restrictions on accepting recommendation letters on the specified dates. Separately, the temple administration has taken up renovation of the historic pushkarini associated with the Tarigonda Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at an estimated cost of Rs.1.50 crore.
