Tirumala Devotees Protest Over Srivari Darshan

Devotees staged a protest in Tirumala expressing dissatisfaction over the cancellation of VIP darshan. The devotees said they faced difficulties after the darshan was cancelled without adequate prior information. Although the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) had announced two days earlier that VIP darshan would be cancelled, several devotees said they had spent months approaching MLAs and obtaining recommendation letters. They alleged that even after arriving at Tirumala with the recommendation letters, they were not provided VIP darshan.

The devotees staged a protest outside the Tirumala Joint Executive Officer’s office, demanding justice. They said the decision to cancel VIP darshan was not justified and sought clearer communication from the authorities. Following the protest, the TTD reportedly arranged ₹300 Special Entry Darshan for the affected devotees.
