

The movement of a tiger in the Chagallu mandal of Kovvur constituency has triggered concern among local residents. The animal has reportedly been spotted in agricultural fields and on the outskirts of villages between Chagallu and Kalavalapalli. Forest officials have stepped up their efforts to track and safely capture the tiger, deploying a specialised rescue team from Pune along with the RRR team. The teams are searching the surrounding areas to trace the animal’s movements and prevent any danger to the public.
Forest officials have urged farmers and agricultural workers to remain highly alert while working in their fields, warning them not to venture out alone. Residents have been advised not to approach or chase the tiger if they spot it. Tahsildar Merikamma is also alerting people in villages across Chagallu mandal through public announcements. The revenue department has advised residents to move their livestock to safer locations and follow the instructions issued by officials until the situation is brought under control.
