Telangana Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao met Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and submitted representations seeking central support for several key development projects in the state. He urged the Centre to allocate Mahanadi coal to the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant, as requested by the Chief Minister, and find a permanent solution to issues affecting the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) to ensure an uninterrupted supply of urea to Telangana farmers. He also sought ₹100 crore in Coal India corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for the proposed Earth Sciences University in Kothagudem and requested that the Sathupalli Block-III coal block be allocated to Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
Thummala also called for expediting plans to establish a greenfield airport in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and speeding up approvals for railway projects across Telangana. He urged the Centre to prioritise the Sathupalli–Kovvur and Penuballi–Kondapalli railway lines. He further requested the early completion of the Pandurangapuram–Malkangiri railway line up to Sarapaka. The representations focused on improving coal availability, fertiliser supplies, transport connectivity and infrastructure to support Telangana’s agricultural and industrial development.
