

In a significant development, three additional judges were sworn in at the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday. Sunitha Gandham, Alapati Giridhar, and Purushottam Kumar Chintalapudi (also known as CH Purushottam Kumar) took oath in the First Court Hall. The oath was administered by Chief Justice Lisa Gill in the presence of members of the full bench and legal fraternity.
The appointments were officially notified by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice after receiving approval from President Droupadi Murmu. With the induction of these three additional judges, the total strength of judges in the Andhra Pradesh High Court has increased from 29 to 32. The ceremony was attended by Bar Council representatives, High Court Advocates Association members, senior advocates, judicial officers, registrars, and other legal officials.
