BRS leader T. Harish Rao criticised the Congress government over the inauguration of the TIMS hospital at Sanathnagar, alleging that the project was conceived and initiated during the KCR government. He said the previous government had planned three 1,000 bed TIMS hospitals at Alwal, Sanathnagar and LB Nagar to provide free corporate-level super-speciality healthcare to poor people. According to Harish Rao, the KCR government sanctioned ₹2,679 crore for the three hospitals and laid their foundation stones on April 26, 2022.
Harish Rao alleged that construction progressed rapidly under the BRS government but slowed down after the Congress came to power. He claimed that the Sanathnagar hospital was being inaugurated without full medical facilities and even basic amenities such as water supply. He also alleged that the Congress government was planning to charge fees instead of providing completely free treatment. Harish Rao demanded that the TIMS hospitals, Warangal Health City and the new 2,000 bed NIMS block be completed on a war footing and made fully accessible to the public.
