A tragic road accident in Thailand claimed the lives of nine Buddhist monks after a pickup truck rammed into a group of monks travelling along a roadway. Thirteen other monks sustained injuries, with three reported to be in critical condition. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, where they are receiving medical treatment.
Police said preliminary investigations revealed that the pickup truck was allegedly being driven by an 11-year-old boy at the time of the accident. The minor has been taken into custody for questioning, and authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
