The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has begun focusing on its recruitment process after the government gave the green signal to fill 1,500 conductor posts across the state. The corporation clarified that the ongoing selection of temporary conductors through outsourcing is being conducted transparently. According to the Medak Regional Manager, candidates are being selected strictly as per norms, with authorized contract agencies chosen through a lottery system. The selection process is based on lists submitted by these agencies, and officials emphasized that there is no political interference in the recruitment.
Since the formation of Telangana, TGSRTC has not conducted regular recruitment for conductor posts, while vacancies have been increasing due to retirements each year. With the latest approval, the corporation is preparing to fill these vacancies soon. However, there is some uncertainty regarding the evaluation criteria, as both grading and marks systems have been used in SSC examinations. Officials have written to the SSC Board seeking clarity on converting grades into marks percentage. Once this is resolved, an official notification for recruitment is expected to be released.
