TG SAFE Restaurant Inspections: Licences Cancelled Over Food Safety Violations!

TG SAFE carried out a special enforcement drive at restaurants in Telangana on September 24, 2026. The inspections were conducted by eight enforcement teams across 15 restaurants. Officials reportedly found several food safety and hygiene violations, leading to action against multiple establishments, including the suspension or cancellation of licences.

At Lucky Restaurant, officials reportedly found cockroaches, rats, flies and rodent droppings, along with expired food and spoiled vegetables. Sixteen food samples were collected on suspicion of adulteration. Officials also reported missing water reports, health records and pest-control records. Lucky Restaurant was ordered to shut down for operating without an FSSAI licence. Improvement notices were issued to five establishments, while FSSAI licences of eight restaurants were suspended and business operations were ordered to stop. At Pakwan Grand, officials reportedly found 1,170 kg of expired rice bags and 45 kg of noodles with labelling deficiencies.
