Tensions rise again at the Telangana–Karnataka border

Tension has once again escalated at the Telangana–Karnataka border after residents of Malgi village blocked municipal garbage trucks from Bidar for the past 15 days. Villagers allege that a dumping yard set up by the Bidar municipality near their village is causing serious health issues. Reports suggest that municipal officials allegedly threatened those who stopped garbage vehicles. In a further escalation, officials reportedly dumped around 40 truckloads of waste on the Malgi–Bidar road, leading to a complete halt in traffic movement between the two regions.
