Tension Builds Around Bhageerath’s Possible Surrender

The POCSO case registered against Bhageerath over allegations of harassment of a minor has become a major topic of discussion in Telangana. Since the case was filed on the 9th of this month, Bhageerath has reportedly remained absconding. Police had already issued notices twice asking him to appear for investigation, while notices were also served to his uncle Vamsi Krishna, who resides in Karimnagar.

Meanwhile, the Telangana High Court heard the petition seeking anticipatory or interim bail for Bhageerath until late night but refused to grant any relief. With no relief from the court, pressure has reportedly increased on him to surrender before the police. Heavy security arrangements have been made at Pet Basheerabad Police Station in Kompally amid reports that Bhageerath may surrender soon. However, no official confirmation has been issued so far.
