Authorities have compiled a comprehensive inventory of gold, silver, and financial assets across temples under the Endowments Department. The data reveals a total of 1,834 kg of gold (including ornaments and bonds) and 32,622 kg of silver. A centralized dashboard has been created covering assets, revenues, and bank deposits of temples and charitable institutions. However, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been excluded as it operates autonomously under specific legal provisions. Fixed deposits across banks amount to ₹2,763.77 crore, including corpus funds, donations for annadanam, cow protection, and land sale proceeds.
Temple revenues have shown consistent growth in recent years. Earnings rose from ₹1,379.19 crore in 2023-24 to ₹1,466.80 crore in 2024-25 and further to ₹1,503.90 crore in 2025-26. Improved facilities, faster darshan systems, better prasadam quality, and feedback-driven management have boosted devotee turnout. The department oversees 27,750 temples, charitable institutions, and mutts, with 981.028 kg of gold ornaments and 853.675 kg held as gold bonds.
