Telugu Student Dies in Texas

A Telugu youth from Hyderabad, who had recently completed his master’s degree in the United States, has died in San Antonio, Texas. According to his family, Sai Pradeep, known as Deepu, was the son of Krishna and Vijayalakshmi from Srinivasanagar Colony in Dammaiguda, Hyderabad. He travelled to the US in 2024 and had been living with his brother in San Antonio. He recently completed his master’s degree from the Anderson University of Business and had been searching for employment for the past four months.

Family members said Sai Pradeep was emotionally sensitive and reportedly experienced depression after being unable to secure a suitable job. His brother Sai Praneeth said that Pradeep died by suicide in his room on August 21. The family has appealed for financial assistance through social media posts to help bring his remains back to Hyderabad. The incident has once again highlighted the emotional and financial pressures that international students and job seekers can face while trying to establish their careers abroad.
