Under the leadership of Telangana IT, Electronics and Communications Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, the state government is strengthening the MeeSeva system to make public services more convenient, transparent and accessible. Through the MeeSeva doorstep delivery service, residents can request income, caste, residence, birth and death certificates, along with Aadhaar enrolment and updates to Aadhaar details, without visiting MeeSeva or Aadhaar centres or waiting in queues.
People can request these services by calling the toll-free helpline 1100 or submitting an application through the MeeSeva Citizens Portal. A MeeSeva representative will then visit the applicant’s home at the scheduled time to provide the requested service. The initiative has received encouraging initial feedback, with 3,885 calls recorded on the helpline during the first month after its launch. At present, the service is available only in areas covered under the CURE initiative. Applicable service charges must be paid depending on the service booked.
