Telangana to Celebrate Bathukamma from October 10–18

Telangana is set to celebrate the Bathukamma festival on a grand scale from October 10 to 18, with the main Saddula Bathukamma celebrations scheduled at Tank Bund on October 18. A massive women’s Bathukamma rally will begin at 4 pm from the Martyrs’ Memorial and proceed towards Tank Bund, where the main celebrations will be held from 5 pm to 10 pm. Thousands of women are expected to participate in the festivities, while arrangements are being made for traffic diversions, barricading, lighting and other basic amenities. Immersion facilities will also be arranged at Bathukamma Ghat and Necklace Road.

Bathukamma celebrations will also be organised at major junctions across Hyderabad with floral displays and decorative lighting. Ravindra Bharathi will host Bathukamma festivities for 10 days, while celebrations are also planned at major tourist destinations across Telangana. The state government is also preparing a special Bathukamma logo, which will incorporate the theme of the Telangana Global Summit.
