Telangana Sets Up Helpline for Residents Stranded in Nepal Floods

The Telangana government has taken immediate steps to assist residents of the state who are stranded or facing difficulties in Nepal following severe floods. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to closely monitor the situation in Nepal and ensure that necessary assistance reaches Telangana residents. Based on his instructions, a dedicated helpline and coordination centre have been established at Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi.

Officials at Telangana Bhavan are coordinating continuously with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu and other concerned authorities. Families who are unable to contact Telangana residents currently in Nepal, including pilgrims, tourists and other travellers, can approach the helpline for assistance. They have been advised to provide the person’s name, passport details, mobile number, current or last known location in Nepal, travel or tour operator details and family contact information to help speed up coordination and rescue efforts.
