The Telangana Government has granted approval for the recruitment of 1,500 conductor posts in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC). The recruitment process will be carried out by the RTC management, with candidates expected to be selected primarily based on their Class 10 marks. Following the government's approval, the corporation has begun preparations to issue the recruitment notification. This will be the first major conductor recruitment drive since the formation of Telangana, as vacancies have steadily increased due to employee retirements over the years.
One of the key challenges before the RTC is determining a common evaluation method for candidates who studied under different SSC assessment systems. While some applicants possess marks-based certificates, others have grades under the grading system introduced in previous years. RTC officials have reportedly sought clarification from the SSC Board on converting grades into equivalent marks before finalising the recruitment process. The notification is expected to be released after receiving the Board's guidance.
