Telangana Prisons Department Rejects Allegations Against Chanchalguda Jail Superintendent

The Telangana Prisons Department has strongly rejected allegations against the Superintendent of Chanchalguda Jail, describing the claims as baseless. The allegations, attributed to Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, suggested that a jail official had allegedly accepted a bribe from a rowdy-sheeter and facilitated bail.

Responding to the allegations, the department clarified that jail authorities do not have the power to grant bail to inmates. According to the department, bail is a matter decided by the competent court, and prison officials have no role in issuing such orders. The clarification comes amid the controversy surrounding the allegations against the Chanchalguda Jail administration.
