Telangana Prepares Grand Bonalu Festival Celebrations

Telangana Minister for Forests, Environment and Endowments Konda Surekha stated that the government is moving ahead with a comprehensive plan to celebrate the Ashada month Bonalu festival in a grand manner. She participated virtually from London in a coordination meeting held at MCR HRD Institute with ministers and senior officials to review the arrangements.

She said the Bonalu festival holds a special place in Telangana’s culture and will be celebrated from July 16 to August 13 across Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Rangareddy, and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The government is ensuring proper arrangements including lighting, floral decorations, CCTV surveillance, drinking water, sanitation, medical camps, and crowd management for devotees during traditional rituals such as Ghata procession, Rangam, and Pothuraju performances.
