Telangana Invites Applications for Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas

The Telangana government has announced an opportunity for BC and EBC students aspiring to pursue higher education abroad. Applications for the Mahatma Jyothiba Phule Overseas Vidya Nidhi scheme will be accepted from September 1 to September 30. Eligible students seeking admission to postgraduate, PhD and other higher education programmes abroad for the August/September fall session can apply within the stipulated period.

A total of 350 students will be selected under the scheme in this round, including 250 BC students and 100 EBC students. Applicants must have a family annual income of less than ₹5 lakh from all sources and should not be above 35 years of age at the time of application. They must have secured at least 60% marks in graduation, along with a GRE score of 260 or GMAT score of 500. Candidates should also possess any one of the required English proficiency scores — TOEFL 60, IELTS 6.0 or PTE 50. The BC Welfare Department has advised eligible students to apply within the deadline and visit the Telangana ePASS portal for further details and the application process.
