Telangana Government Rental Vehicle Owners to Launch Strike from Tomorrow

Rental vehicle owners operating vehicles for Telangana government departments have announced an indefinite strike from tomorrow. They are demanding that the government revise the monthly rental charges from ₹34,000 to ₹55,000, citing the continuous increase in petrol, diesel, and vehicle maintenance costs over the past few years.

The proposed strike is expected to affect more than 5,000 rental vehicles attached to the Secretariat and various government institutions across the state. The vehicle owners have also requested the immediate release of rental dues pending for the last 12 to 22 months, stating that the protest will continue until their demands receive a positive response from the government.
