Telangana Government Marks 1,000 Days

The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, is set to complete 1,000 days of governance on September 1. On this occasion, the government released a ‘Progress Report’, highlighting welfare and development initiatives undertaken during its tenure. The government said it had focused on restructuring governance in line with people’s aspirations, promoting social justice, supporting farmers, women and youth, attracting large-scale investments and creating world-class infrastructure for the future Telangana. It has set a target of transforming Telangana into a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with a development strategy covering Hyderabad and rural Telangana. The government highlighted growth in per-capita income, agriculture, farmer welfare, women-centric schemes, housing, pensions, education, employment and healthcare.

According to the report, Telangana’s per-capita income reached Rs 4,18,931 in 2025-26. The government said more than 25 lakh farmer families benefited from crop-loan waivers of up to Rs 2 lakh, while over Rs 36,000 crore was provided as investment support under Rythu Bharosa. Under the Mahalakshmi scheme, women have reportedly saved nearly Rs 11,000 crore through free RTC travel, while 53 lakh families are receiving up to 200 units of free electricity under Gruha Jyothi. The report also highlighted 72,000-plus government recruitments, the establishment of Young India Skills University, upgrades to ITIs and polytechnic colleges, expansion of healthcare support and assistance through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. In infrastructure and investment, the government cited plans for the Regional Ring Road, Hyderabad Metro Phase-II, Mamunur Airport, Musi rejuvenation and new sewage treatment plants. It also highlighted investments secured through TG-iPASS and the Telangana Rising Global Summit, along with IT exports of Rs 3.97 lakh crore and more than 12.14 lakh direct IT jobs in 2025-26. The government said Hyderabad’s growing presence of Global Capability Centres, data centres, cloud computing and artificial intelligence is strengthening Telangana’s position as a major technology destination.
